It’s a huge multi-range, multi-Doctor, multi-character crossover epic six story spectacular.
Do check the Big Finish website for full details, let’s just say there are lots of surprises!
Nick Briggs has this to say:
The Legacy of Time will probably go down in Big Finish history as our biggest, most exciting production, ever! Celebrating 20 years of Doctor Who at Big Finish, it expertly pulls together all the strands from our many and varied Doctor Who ranges.
This is down to the brilliance of script editor Matt Fitton and producer David Richardson. They epitomise the creative strength, organisational expertise and leadership of the company. Quite simply, this is going to blow people’s minds! It’s got everything!
Just some of the details follow…
The Legacy of Time stories
Time is collapsing.
Incidents of temporal chaos and devastation are appearing throughout the many lives of the Doctor and his friends – fallout from one terrible disaster.
The Doctor must save history itself – and he will need all the help he can get.
The six stories are:
- Lies in Ruins by James Goss
- The Split Infinitive by John Dorney
- The Sacrifice of Jo Grant by Guy Adams
- Episode four by Matt Fitton (to be confirmed)
- The Avenues of Possibility by Jonny Morris
- Collision Course by Guy Adams.
The project is a David Richardson / Matt Fitton masterplan, and there are almost too many splendid ideas to count!
And now some teasers!
And who’s behind the TARDIS doors?
Could it be two famous Professors of Archaeology?
Is that really River Song and Benny in the same story?!
And that’s not all…
Is that everyone’s favourite Edwardian Adventuress Charley Pollard back with the Sixth Doctor?
Is that DI Menzies back for a much overdue return?
Can it get any more thrilling than this?
Has Kate Stewart been whisked off in the TARDIS?
Is she teaming up with both Jo and the Third Doctor?
What happens when modern UNIT meets classic? Will Osgood make an appearance?
Can the excitement mount any further?
It’s also thirty years since Remembrance of the Daleks
That means back to the Counter Measures team
And is that Miss Dorothy ‘Ace’ McShane? Surely the Seventh Doctor can’t be far away?
And there’s more…
Yes, a return to Gallifrey with Romana II and Leeela!
And we’ve yet to find out just how the Eighth Doctor gets involved
Never mind the Fourth Doctor
And where’s the Fifth Doctor?
