Big Finish has given out plenty of details of the forthcoming December release The War Doctor 1: Only the Monstrous. The news release is: DOCTOR WHO – THE WAR DOCTOR 1: ONLY THE MONSTROUS – COMING SOON.

The stories

The first set, Only the Monstrous comprises three stories all written by Nick Briggs:

1. The Innocent
2. The Thousand Worlds
3. The Heart of Battle.

Not only do we have John Hurt (obviously) but also Jacqueline Pearce, Lucy Briggs-Owen, Carolyn Seymour, Beth Chalmers, Alex Wyndham, Kieran Hodgson, Barnaby Edwards, Mark McDonnell and John Banks.

The news item also lets us know the second set has already been recorded, and will be called Infernal Devices. The three stories will be by a range of writers:

1. Legion of the Lost by John Dorney
2. A Thing of Guile by Phil Mulryne
3. The Neverwhen by Matt Fitton.
