Here’s an extract from the press release:
Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor meets acting royalty in an adventure on an alien planet in the upcoming Doctor Who audio drama, Chase the Night, released in January 2020.
Actor and author Jane Asher (The Mistress, Crossroads, Wish Me Luck) plays the unsentimental Pilot Dena, on a planet where daylight kills. The commander has become so obsessed with the survival of her people that she’ll do anything to save them — including taking lives.
On being cast in this exciting Doctor Who audio drama, Jane Asher said:
“Obviously, the whole franchise is extraordinary. I’ve been lucky enough to do a Sarah Jane Adventures and a Torchwood in the past, which was lovely, but this is the first sort of proper Doctor Who, with a real Doctor in attendance. It’s wonderful.Â
“Tom Baker and I knew each other at the Bristol Old Vic in the late 1960s, so it’s a treat to work with him again, and with Lalla Ward, too, who I haven’t seen for a long time.” Â
Doctor Who: Chase The Night also features Romana (Lalla Ward), Adric (Matthew Waterhouse) and K-9 (John Leeson).
