The BBC has confirmed series 12 will not appear until 2020, confirming widely reported rumours. It also tells us Jodie Whittaker will be back, as will the rest of the TARDIS team, so no farewells New Year’s Day in Resolution. The announcement says reprise rather than return, so one could imagine a regeneration. I suspect this is sloppy language though, but we shall see. Elsewhere Ed Hime is reported back as a writer for series 12, good news in my view.
