What might (if they stick to the timeline) be the final Torchwood One release, Latter Days is a well-conceived piece of drama. There’s a simple idea running through – retirement and later life. It’s also a great set of stories for exploring Ianto and Yvonne Hartman.
With its third four-disc boxset, series 5 of Torchwood comes to a end, even if not every storyline gets a conclusion. When I first read of the return of Yvonne Hartman (Tracy-Ann Oberman) in the Big Finish Torchwood range I was impressed and intrigued. I happened to chat to Scott Handcock and James Goss at Big Finish Day 7, and it was clear this had been an enjoyable recording, and Tracy-Ann had played her part to the hilt.
Another surprise from Big Finish announced today; the fourth story of the new Torchwood range stars Tracy-Ann Overman returning as Yvonne Hartman (so crossing over from Doctor Who). The cast also includes Dan Starkey and Catrin Stewart (two-thirds of the Paternoster Gang, in case anyone thought they might never cross to audio…).
