A thought ahead of Last Christmas — everyone has focussed on the seasonal elements, the elves. the resemblance to The Thing (from another World) / Alien but I just wonder something. What if this is another Narnia retelling?

Let’s remember the less than brilliant The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. Back in 2011 there were lots of great characters, cast and yet the story just didn’t seem to achieve anything. Arwell!

The Narnia connection

The idea of Father Christmas being real and appearing as a character isn’t new. The most noted use I can recall is CS Lewis in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Perhaps Last Christmas is actually a Narnia story? Is Clara symbolic of Lucy or Susan? I’ll let you know in a day or so!
