Is Series 11 coming on September 23 (a Sunday!)?

According to the Culture magazine in today’s (August 26, 2018) Sunday Times, Series 11 of Doctor Who airs on September 23, 2018. While this confirms the before October date reported widely, it does (if correct) also confirm something else: a Sunday showing. This will be the first time the show has moved away from Saturday evening’s since its return (ignoring odd specials). No more tying up with the Strictly audience, instead it will line-up against a whole different audience segment. Will this work? Don’t forget a lot of people stream the show on demand. It may effect how social media responds, with much of the audience having work the next day (perhaps). More details as they emerge.
